Dining space Lighting combination
1.Downlihgt. Downlight is a kind of lamp with small diameter and embedded in the ceiling. Its biggest feature is its simple appearance and strong concealment, which is not easy to attract people’s attention. In restaurant lighting, downlights mainly provide flood light, which can get a good overall lighting effect.
2. Spotlights. Spotlights are often used in conjunction with downlights. There are hidden spotlights, surface-mounted spotlights, and track spotlights, etc., mainly to provide point light sources. Spotlights are often used in some important decorative parts, and for example, the tabletop of a dining table needs light from spotlights to illuminate food and beverages in order to make up for the lack of lighting.
3 Chandeliers. Chandeliers are often used in larger restaurants and higher-grade banquet halls. Due to its broad spectrum of lighting, it is mainly used for general lighting. Its biggest feature is that it is located in the center of the restaurant’s interior space, and it is the brightest object in the space, so it is often the center of people’s vision. Its shape and style determine the taste and grade of the restaurant to a large extent. For example, in order to show the aristocratic temperament, some banquet halls use gorgeous crystal chandeliers. In some restaurants that use downlights or fluorescent lamps as general lighting, chandeliers can also be used as supplementary lighting. At this time, the size of the chandelier above the dining table is related to the size of the dining table. Along the longitudinal length of the dining table, according to the equal ratio of the number of lights, the size of the chandelier should not be greater than 1/3 of this length. The installation height of the chandelier is about 60cm above the dining table.
4. Wall lamps and table lamps. Wall lamps and table lamps are generally used as supplementary lighting for mood lighting or general lighting. In order to avoid rigid single lighting in many themed restaurants, a few table lamps or wall lamps are often added to the overall lighting to supplement the lack of countertop illumination and enrich the level of space. However, since the positions of these two lamps are relatively low, it is necessary to do a good job of shading the lamps to avoid glare within the range of people’s sight.
